Guangzhou is famous for its snack foods, or dim sum (a style of Cantonese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates.), which are a part of the city’s culture. There are some traditional dim-sums in tea houses and Cantonese restaurants which are the must-eat dim-sums in Yum cha. Yum Cha, means "drinking tea", is an integral part of the culinary culture of Guangdong Province, is an opportunity for families gathers to chat and eat dim sum and drink Chinese tea.
