Shapotou was picked as one of the most beautiful places in China by Chinese National Geography, and also be picked as one of China top10 fun place.
Shapotou, situated in Zhongwei County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, lies on the north bank of the Yellow River where it crosses the southeastern border of the Tengger Desert. It is famous for desert ecological management and its tourism resorces, is an amazing place where desert, grassland, mountains and the yellow river meet.

Huangshan - Best Place to See in Autumn

Open History's Door, Walk into The Last China Emperor's Life
Puyi, the last Emperor of China, the final ruler of the Qing Dynasty and the Emperor of Manchukuo.
In December 1908, due to both of the Emperor Guangxu and Empress Dowager Cixi got serious sick, Puyi was Chosen by Empress Dowager Cixi on her deathbed as the emperor of Qing Dynasty when he was only 2 years and 10 months old. Titled the Xuantong Emperor.
Aged 19 in 1924, with China in turmoil, he escaped to the international settlement at Tientsin to take shelter in the welcoming arms of the Japanese. Japanese found a use for him and, when they took control of Manchuria in 1931, they proclaimed Pu Yi as Emperor of Manchukuo.
On March 8, 1932, Puyi moved his government to Changchun city, and the place in the picture is where he lived as a Japanese puppet for next 13 years - Manchurian Imperial Palace. >> Chinatourguide.com
